Madeline and Sean Brown welcome you to Stronechrubie Restaurant & Accommodation. Nestled in the township of Mount Somers, one hour’s drive from Christchurch, we are located near Mt Hutt Ski Area and Mt Sunday, the location of Edoras in ‘Lord of the Rings’.

Diners in our a la carte restaurant are presented with a classic New Zealand cuisine, featuring locally sourced ingredients including lamb, beef, salmon and venison. Our Bistro restaurant offers casual family dining with a modern twist on the kiwi bistro dining experience. All dishes are prepared in our kitchen, including desserts, ensuring freshness and the highest class of presentation.
