Sawmill Brewery and Smoko Room

Sawmill is an independent, New Zealand owned brewery run by a small and talented team. We are straight up in our brewing - people up north are creative and resourceful and that’s our approach to beer.

Visit the Smoko Room inside the brewery for generous hospitality, food with gumption, 14 beers on tap and a drinks list that showcases organic wines and the best New Zealand producers as well as flagon fills and take away beer.

Our food menu has been created with sharing in mind. We celebrate local and seasonal produce, sustainable fish species and interesting cuts of meat. This is real food.

The kitchen is open from 12pm until 8.30pm 7 days a week*. Come for a beer or a feast.

We are located just out of Matakana at 1004 Leigh Road (3km past the Matakana roundabout).
