We offer fantastic garden to table food, house baked breads and cake, and great coffee, beer and wine in our relaxing cafe where you can enjoy a great meal or delicious cabinet food.
Nestled on 8 hectares of pasture land adjacent to the Orepuki township, we produce our own lamb and beef. Our chefs have passion for serving fresh, on premise cooked and baked, locally-sourced food. We are committed to providing fresh farm, garden and ocean foods that can back up our passion to deliver an enjoyable experience in a great south coast cafe.
The cafe is housed in a grand old house that stands on the main highway of Orepuki overlooking Te Waewae Bay and the Longwoods Forest. Built around 1885, the first owner of this house was Captain Crowther of the Colonial Guard, who was sent from England to the new colony. The house had been recently restored, transforming it into its new life of an inviting cafe with old character charm.
