We are located in a quirky 100 year old red brick building. Inside we have 3 different rooms, each one uniquely quirky and intimate. The cafe embodies a real "step back in time" kiwi feel, where you can relax and feel at home. We also have outdoor space in the front courtyard, "alley" and our ivy clad walled garden - complete with sandpit for the children and a bee hive where the honey we use comes from, we also have a small garden with herbs and some seasonal produce. All of our food is homemade, including our signature multigrain sourdough bread, which is baked fresh daily. Our breakfast menu offers everything from the healthy, to the not quite so healthy. Our cabinet has options for gluten and dairy free, vegan, and a range of salads and other treats. The specials board has south island classics like cheese rolls, homemade nitrate free pastrami served with our sourdough rye bread, a selection of sandwiches made with our hearty multigrain sourdough bread, as well as a selection of freshly blended smoothies. Most importantly we offer excellent coffees made with C4 beans. We are so much more than just a coffee shop - we are a place to meet friends and family; a place to have informal business meetings in a relaxed environment, with great coffee, great food and friendly service. We have a small boardroom for more formal meetings, we offer catering options on request. We are a starting point for local artists, with exhibitions which change monthly as well as various crafts on display. We are very conscious of the our impact on the environment, to which end we try to minimize our wastage, and only use compostable containers and cutlery for our takeaway orders.
